Our poor country... our poorer state.

What for the better part of a generation has been a callous and blatant disregard by elected "servants" for responsibility and accountability to voters and tax payers, we now confront the most sweeping redesign of our economy since 1928.  Millions of wokers idled... millions of homes in foreclosure... record numbers of businesses fleeing the oppressive regulatory and tax policies of a federal and state government moving rapidly toward seizing control of virtually every channel of commerce, health and the environment.  This appears to be the destiny of our once great nation.  Little more than a North American model of Western Europe... or worse.

The "Hope" and "Change" so many people claimed to have sought from this administration is clearly coming in the form of taking many decisions they formerly made for themselves, and vesting them in a beauracracy controlled by the annoited elite.

The people at the helm have decreed their support (and our tax dollars) for all of the academic arguments that advance and fund the causes they hold most dear... global warming, open-border legislation, more and more entitlements to those deemed "in need," further taxation of the working class and property owners, "self-esteem" curriculums over teaching of basic language and math skills.  Yes, folks... things are rather upside-down.

How did it come to pass that a man with so little time spent in any meanigful employment, who racked up the single most liberal voting record in his very brief tenure in the Senate, a man of whom most Americans know virtually nothing... became the 44th President?  It is an issue worth contemplating... and voting on the next time.. 

So the city "leaders" of Los Angeles, all liberal Social Democrats, have voted to boycott all business with Arizona because it chose to actually declare that borders mean something. These are the same folks who have bankrupted their own city, declaring it a "sanctuary" for those in the country illegally. These are the same folks who can't manage a single effort to curb hundreds of gang murders committed annually or the forced closings of dozens of emergency rooms due to the costs of care for those that are trespassing the American border. These are same folks who are ranked the highest paid city councilmen in the entire country, each one soaking taxpayers for over $1.2 million annually in salary and "discretionary office funds" not counting cars and drivers. But they have the time and desire to vote for efforts to destroy the economy of a neighbor state. What a pity for the once great City of Angels that these morons are holding office.
